Something coincidental Dave...I stumbled on a thing (don't know where) the other day that had some back story about the original track...turns out that Charlie Watts did NOT play drums on the original. So, it was very interesting to hear CW's take on it for the first time. I say he was cooking btw. Nice one...thanks.
Funny, I was just talking about Charlie. I was thinking about our drummers, how all the young ones have two levels: ten and eleven, both being louder than most rooms they'd play in. Charlie, on the other hand, is a jazz combo drummer in possibly the biggest stadium band there is. Never has anybody ever thought "There's too much drums here" about a Stones track. And I like that.
