Personally, I prefer the triangle shape, but I wholeheartedly agree on the quality of these picks. I've been using them for about a decade now.

Haven't really tried the triangle shape. Fell into the teardrop shape a while ago, and stuck with (a quick fling with nacho-chip triangles to the contrary). Will have to grab a bunch next Castleton trip or mail-order purchase.

Count me IN as an unpaid endorser. I got rid of all my other picks when I discovered the Ultex. I love the 1.0s for almost every application and the 0.73s for some acoustic strumming applications. I know you've said anything less than 1.0 is not a real pick, Dave, but I do like the thinner ones sometimes for strumming with a lighter attack.

I use that shape but the tortex ones - I just found the ultex ones too "brittle" sounding

I use lighter gauge ones normally .6 on acoustic and .73 on electric and finally if I pick a bass (I normally use fingers) then I use a .88
